يُخَٰدِعُ2×They seek to deceive

  1. يُخَٰدِعُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَمَا يَخۡدَعُونَ إِلَّآ أَنفُسَهُمۡ وَمَا يَشۡعُرُونَ ٩

    يُخٰدِعُوْنَ اللّٰهَ وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْاۚ وَمَا يَخْدَعُوْنَ اِلَّا͏ٓ اَنْفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ ۝٩ؕ

    They [think to] deceive Allāh and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not.

    2:9

  2. إِنَّ ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ يُخَٰدِعُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَهُوَ خَٰدِعُهُمۡ وَإِذَا قَامُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ قَامُواْ كُسَالَىٰ يُرَآءُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ وَلَا يَذۡكُرُونَ ٱللَّهَ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا ١٤٢

    اِنَّ الْمُنٰفِقِيْنَ يُخٰدِعُوْنَ اللّٰهَ وَهُوَ خَادِعُهُمْۚ وَاِذَا قَامُوْٓا اِلَي الصَّلٰوةِ قَامُوْا كُسَالٰيۙ يُرَا࢜ءُوْنَ النَّاسَ وَلَا يَذْكُرُوْنَ اللّٰهَ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا ۝١٤٢ؗۙ

    Indeed, the hypocrites [think to] deceive Allāh, but He is deceiving them. And when they stand for prayer, they stand lazily, showing [themselves to] the people and not remembering Allāh except a little,

    4:142

يَخْدَعُ2×they deceive

  1. يُخَٰدِعُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَمَا يَخۡدَعُونَ إِلَّآ أَنفُسَهُمۡ وَمَا يَشۡعُرُونَ ٩

    يُخٰدِعُوْنَ اللّٰهَ وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْاۚ وَمَا يَخْدَعُوْنَ اِلَّا͏ٓ اَنْفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ ۝٩ؕ

    They [think to] deceive Allāh and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not.

    2:9

  1. وَإِن يُرِيدُوٓاْ أَن يَخۡدَعُوكَ فَإِنَّ حَسۡبَكَ ٱللَّهُۚ هُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَيَّدَكَ بِنَصۡرِهِۦ وَبِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ٦٢

    وَاِنْ يُّرِيْدُوْٓا اَنْ يَّخْدَعُوْكَ فَاِنَّ حَسْبَكَ اللّٰهُؕ هُوَ الَّذِيْٓ اَيَّدَكَ بِنَصْرِهٖ وَبِالْمُو͏ٔ͏ْمِنِيْنَ ۝٦٢ۙ

    But if they intend to deceive you - then sufficient for you is Allāh. It is He who supported you with His help and with the believers

    8:62

خَٰدِع1×(who) deceives them

  1. إِنَّ ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ يُخَٰدِعُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَهُوَ خَٰدِعُهُمۡ وَإِذَا قَامُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ قَامُواْ كُسَالَىٰ يُرَآءُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ وَلَا يَذۡكُرُونَ ٱللَّهَ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا ١٤٢

    اِنَّ الْمُنٰفِقِيْنَ يُخٰدِعُوْنَ اللّٰهَ وَهُوَ خَادِعُهُمْۚ وَاِذَا قَامُوْٓا اِلَي الصَّلٰوةِ قَامُوْا كُسَالٰيۙ يُرَا࢜ءُوْنَ النَّاسَ وَلَا يَذْكُرُوْنَ اللّٰهَ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا ۝١٤٢ؗۙ

    Indeed, the hypocrites [think to] deceive Allāh, but He is deceiving them. And when they stand for prayer, they stand lazily, showing [themselves to] the people and not remembering Allāh except a little,
