رَّجْفَة4×the earthquake

  1. فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلرَّجۡفَةُ فَأَصۡبَحُواْ فِي دَارِهِمۡ جَٰثِمِينَ ٧٨

    فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الرَّجْفَةُ فَاَصْبَحُوْا فِيْ دَارِهِمْ جٰثِمِيْنَ ۝٧٨

    So the earthquake seized them, and they became within their home [corpses] fallen prone.

    7:78

  2. فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلرَّجۡفَةُ فَأَصۡبَحُواْ فِي دَارِهِمۡ جَٰثِمِينَ ٩١

    فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الرَّجْفَةُ فَاَصْبَحُوْا فِيْ دَارِهِمْ جٰثِمِيْنَ ۝٩١ۚۖۛ

    So the earthquake seized them, and they became within their home [corpses] fallen prone.

    7:91

  3. وَٱخۡتَارَ مُوسَىٰ قَوۡمَهُۥ سَبۡعِينَ رَجُلٗا لِّمِيقَٰتِنَاۖ فَلَمَّآ أَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلرَّجۡفَةُ قَالَ رَبِّ لَوۡ شِئۡتَ أَهۡلَكۡتَهُم مِّن قَبۡلُ وَإِيَّٰيَۖ أَتُهۡلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ مِنَّآۖ إِنۡ هِيَ إِلَّا فِتۡنَتُكَ تُضِلُّ بِهَا مَن تَشَآءُ وَتَهۡدِي مَن تَشَآءُۖ أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا فَٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا وَٱرۡحَمۡنَاۖ وَأَنتَ خَيۡرُ ٱلۡغَٰفِرِينَ ١٥٥

    وَاخْتَارَ مُوْسٰي قَوْمَهٗ سَبْعِيْنَ رَجُلًا لِّمِيْقَاتِنَاۚ فَلَمَّا͏ٓ اَخَذَتْهُمُ الرَّجْفَةُ قَالَ رَبِّ لَوْ شِي͏ٔ͏ْتَ اَهْلَكْتَهُمْ مِّنْ قَبْلُ وَاِيَّايَؕ اَتُهْلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ السُّفَهَا࢜ءُ مِنَّاۚ اِنْ هِيَ اِلَّا فِتْنَتُكَؕ تُضِلُّ بِهَا مَنْ تَشَا࢜ءُ وَتَهْدِيْ مَنْ تَشَا࢜ءُؕ اَنْتَ وَلِيُّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَاَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْغٰفِرِيْنَ ۝١٥٥

    And Moses chose from his people seventy men for Our appointment. And when the earthquake seized them, he said, "My Lord, if You had willed, You could have destroyed them before and me [as well]. Would You destroy us for what the foolish among us have done? This is not but Your trial by which You send astray whom You will and guide whom You will. You are our Protector, so forgive us and have mercy upon us; and You are the best of forgivers.

    7:155

  4. فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلرَّجۡفَةُ فَأَصۡبَحُواْ فِي دَارِهِمۡ جَٰثِمِينَ ٣٧

    فَكَذَّبُوْهُ فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الرَّجْفَةُ فَاَصْبَحُوْا فِيْ دَارِهِمْ جٰثِمِيْنَ ۝٣٧ؗ

    But they denied him, so the earthquake seized them, and they became within their home [corpses] fallen prone.

    29:37

تَرْجُفُ2×will quake

  1. يَوۡمَ تَرۡجُفُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَٱلۡجِبَالُ وَكَانَتِ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَثِيبٗا مَّهِيلًا ١٤

    يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الْاَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ وَكَانَتِ الْجِبَالُ كَثِيْبًا مَّهِيْلًا ۝١٤

    On the Day the earth and the mountains will convulse and the mountains will become a heap of sand pouring down.

    73:14

  2. يَوۡمَ تَرۡجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ ٦

    يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الرَّاجِفَةُ ۝٦ۙ

    On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation],

    79:6

مُرْجِفُون1×and those who spread rumors

  1. لَّئِن لَّمۡ يَنتَهِ ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٞ وَٱلۡمُرۡجِفُونَ فِي ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ لَنُغۡرِيَنَّكَ بِهِمۡ ثُمَّ لَا يُجَاوِرُونَكَ فِيهَآ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا ٦٠

    لَىِٕنْ لَّمْ يَنْتَهِ الْمُنٰفِقُوْنَ وَالَّذِيْنَ فِيْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ مَّرَضٌ وَّالْمُرْجِفُوْنَ فِي الْمَدِيْنَةِ لَنُغْرِيَنَّكَ بِهِمْ ثُمَّ لَا يُجَاوِرُوْنَكَ فِيْهَا͏ٓ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا ۝٦٠ۚۖۛ

    If the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is disease and those who spread rumors in al-Madīnah do not cease, We will surely incite you against them; then they will not remain your neighbors therein except for a little,

    33:60

رَّاجِفَة1×the quaking one

  1. يَوۡمَ تَرۡجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ ٦

    يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الرَّاجِفَةُ ۝٦ۙ

    On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation],

    79:6
