The Chain of ProphetsAl-An'am · 6:84–87
وَزَكَرِيَّا وَيَحۡيَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ وَإِلۡيَاسَۖ كُلّٞ مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ٨٥
وَزَكَرِيَّا وَيَحْيٰي وَعِيْسٰي وَاِلْيَاسَؕ كُلٌّ مِّنَ الصّٰلِحِيْنَ ٨٥ۙ
And Zechariah and John and Jesus and Elias - and all were of the righteous.
6:85
Elijah and the Idol BaalAs-Saffat · 37:123–132
وَإِنَّ إِلۡيَاسَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ ١٢٣
وَاِنَّ اِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ ١٢٣ؕ
And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers,
37:123إِذۡ قَالَ لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ١٢٤
اِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهٖٓ اَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ ١٢٤
When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allāh?
37:124أَتَدۡعُونَ بَعۡلٗا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحۡسَنَ ٱلۡخَٰلِقِينَ ١٢٥
اَتَدْعُوْنَ بَعْلًا وَّتَذَرُوْنَ اَحْسَنَ الْخَالِقِيْنَ ١٢٥ۙ
Do you call upon Baʿl and leave the best of creators -
37:125ٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمۡ وَرَبَّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ١٢٦
اللّٰهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ اٰبَا࢜ىِٕكُمُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ ١٢٦
Allāh, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?"
37:126فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمۡ لَمُحۡضَرُونَ ١٢٧
فَكَذَّبُوْهُ فَاِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُوْنَ ١٢٧ۙ
And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment],
37:127إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ ١٢٨
اِلَّا عِبَادَ اللّٰهِ الْمُخْلَصِيْنَ ١٢٨
Except the chosen servants of Allāh.
37:128وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ ١٢٩
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْاٰخِرِيْنَ ١٢٩ۙ
And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:
37:129سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِلۡ يَاسِينَ ١٣٠
سَلٰمٌ عَلٰٓي اِلْيَاسِيْنَ ١٣٠
"Peace upon Elias."
37:130إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ ١٣١
اِنَّا كَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ ١٣١
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
37:131إِنَّهُۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ١٣٢
اِنَّهٗ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُو͏ٔ͏ْمِنِيْنَ ١٣٢
Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.
37:132
