بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Abu Lahab and His Wife 1–5
تَبَّتۡتَبَّتْPerish
يَدَآيَدَا͏ٓ(the) hands
أَبِياَبِيْ(of) Abu
لَهَبٖلَهَبٍLahab
وَتَبَّوَّتَبَّand perish he
May the hands of Abū Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.
مَآمَا͏ٓNot
أَغۡنَىٰاَغْنٰي(will) avail
عَنۡهُعَنْهُhim
مَالُهُۥمَالُهٗhis wealth
وَمَاand what
كَسَبَhe earned
His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.
سَيَصۡلَىٰسَيَصْلٰيHe will be burnt
نَارٗانَارًا(in) a Fire
ذَاتَof
لَهَبٖلَهَبٍBlazing Flames
He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame
وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥوَّامْرَاَتُهٗؕAnd his wife
حَمَّالَةَ(the) carrier
ٱلۡحَطَبِالْحَطَبِ(of) firewood
And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.
فِيفِيْIn
جِيدِهَاجِيْدِهَاher neck
حَبۡلٞحَبْلٌ(will be) a rope
مِّنمِّنْof
مَّسَدِۭمَّسَدٍpalm-fiber
Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.
1 May the hands of Abū Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 2 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 3 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 4 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 5 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.
