Ayah 2 بَلِ Nay Retraction Harf · حَرْف إِضْرَاب ٱلَّذِينَ الَّذِيْنَ those who Relative pronoun · اِسْم مَوْصُول كَفَرُواْ كَفَرُوْا disbelieve Perfect · Form I فِي فِيْ (are) in Preposition · حَرْف جَرّ عِزَّةٖ عِزَّةٍ self-glory Genitive · مَجْرُور وَشِقَاقٖ وَّشِقَاقٍ and opposition Genitive · مَجْرُور But those who disbelieve are in pride and dissension.
Ayah 3 كَمۡ كَمْ How many Accusative · مَنْصُوب أَهۡلَكۡنَا اَهْلَكْنَا We destroyed Perfect · Form IV مِن مِنْ before them Preposition · حَرْف جَرّ قَبۡلِهِم قَبْلِهِمْ before them Genitive · مَجْرُور مِّن مِّنْ of Preposition · حَرْف جَرّ قَرۡنٖ قَرْنٍ a generation Genitive · مَجْرُور فَنَادَواْ فَنَادَوْا then they called out Perfect · Form III وَّلَاتَ when there (was) no longer Perfect · Form I حِينَ حِيْنَ time Accusative · مَنْصُوب مَنَاصٖ مَنَاصٍ (for) escape Genitive · مَجْرُور How many a generation have We destroyed before them, and they [then] called out; but it was not a time for escape.
Ayah 4 وَعَجِبُوٓاْ وَعَجِبُوْٓا And they wonder Perfect · Form I أَن اَنْ that Subordinating Harf · حَرْف مَصْدَرِيّ جَآءَهُم جَا࢜ءَهُمْ has come to them Perfect · Form I مُّنذِرٞ مُّنْذِرٌ a warner Nominative · مَرْفُوع مِّنۡهُمۡۖ مِّنْهُمْؗ from themselves Preposition · حَرْف جَرّ وَقَالَ And said Perfect · Form I ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ الْكٰفِرُوْنَ the disbelievers Nominative · مَرْفُوع هَٰذَا هٰذَا This Demonstrative · اِسْم إِشَارَة سَٰحِرٞ سٰحِرٌ (is) a magician Nominative · مَرْفُوع كَذَّابٌ a liar Nominative · مَرْفُوع And they wonder that there has come to them a warner [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)] from among themselves. And the disbelievers say, "This is a magician and a liar.
Ayah 5 أَجَعَلَ اَجَعَلَ Has he made Perfect · Form I ٱلۡأٓلِهَةَ الْاٰلِهَةَ the gods Accusative · مَنْصُوب إِلَٰهٗا اِلٰهًا (into) one god Accusative · مَنْصُوب وَٰحِدًاۖ وَّاحِدًاۚۖ (into) one god Accusative · مَنْصُوب إِنَّ اِنَّ Indeed Accusative Harf · حَرْف نَصْب هَٰذَا هٰذَا this Demonstrative · اِسْم إِشَارَة لَشَيۡءٌ لَشَيْءٌ (is) certainly a thing Nominative · مَرْفُوع عُجَابٞ عُجَابٌ curious Nominative · مَرْفُوع Has he made the gods [only] one God? Indeed, this is a curious thing."
Ayah 6 وَٱنطَلَقَ وَانْطَلَقَ And went forth Perfect · Form VII ٱلۡمَلَأُ الْمَلَاُ the chiefs Nominative · مَرْفُوع مِنۡهُمۡ مِنْهُمْ among them Preposition · حَرْف جَرّ أَنِ اَنِ that Harf of interpretation · حَرْف تَفْسِير ٱمۡشُواْ امْشُوْا Continue Imperative · Form I وَٱصۡبِرُواْ وَاصْبِرُوْا and be patient Imperative · Form I عَلَىٰٓ عَلٰٓي over Preposition · حَرْف جَرّ ءَالِهَتِكُمۡۖ اٰلِهَتِكُمْۚۖ your gods Genitive · مَجْرُور إِنَّ اِنَّ Indeed Accusative Harf · حَرْف نَصْب هَٰذَا هٰذَا this Demonstrative · اِسْم إِشَارَة لَشَيۡءٞ لَشَيْءٌ (is) certainly a thing Nominative · مَرْفُوع يُرَادُ يُّرَادُ intended Imperfect · Form IV And the eminent among them went forth, [saying], "Continue, and be patient over [the defense of] your gods. Indeed, this is a thing intended.
Ayah 7 مَا Not Negative Harf · حَرْف نَفْي سَمِعۡنَا سَمِعْنَا we heard Perfect · Form I بِهَٰذَا بِهٰذَا of this Demonstrative · اِسْم إِشَارَة فِي in Preposition · حَرْف جَرّ ٱلۡمِلَّةِ الْمِلَّةِ the religion Genitive · مَجْرُور ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ الْاٰخِرَةِۚۖ the last Genitive · مَجْرُور إِنۡ اِنْ Not Negative Harf · حَرْف نَفْي هَٰذَآ هٰذَا͏ٓ (is) this Demonstrative · اِسْم إِشَارَة إِلَّا اِلَّا but Restriction Harf · أَدَاة حَصْر ٱخۡتِلَٰقٌ اخْتِلَاقٌ a fabrication Nominative · مَرْفُوع We have not heard of this in the latest religion. This is not but a fabrication.
