Ayah 1 وَٱلصَّٰٓفَّٰتِ وَالصّٰ࢜فّٰتِ By those lined Genitive · مَجْرُور صَفّٗا صَفًّا (in) rows Accusative · مَنْصُوب By those [angels] lined up in rows
Ayah 2 فَٱلزَّٰجِرَٰتِ فَالزّٰجِرٰتِ And those who drive Genitive · مَجْرُور زَجۡرٗا زَجْرًا strongly Accusative · مَنْصُوب And those who drive [the clouds]
Ayah 3 فَٱلتَّٰلِيَٰتِ فَالتّٰلِيٰتِ And those who recite Genitive · مَجْرُور ذِكۡرًا ذِكْرًا (the) Message Accusative · مَنْصُوب And those who recite the message,
Ayah 4 إِنَّ اِنَّ Indeed Accusative Harf · حَرْف نَصْب إِلَٰهَكُمۡ اِلٰهَكُمْ your Lord Accusative · مَنْصُوب لَوَٰحِدٞ لَوَاحِدٌ (is) surely One Nominative · مَرْفُوع Indeed, your God is One,
Ayah 5 رَّبُّ رَبُّ Lord Nominative · مَرْفُوع ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ السَّمٰوٰتِ (of) the heavens Genitive · مَجْرُور وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَالْاَرْضِ and the earth Genitive · مَجْرُور وَمَا and what Relative pronoun · اِسْم مَوْصُول بَيۡنَهُمَا بَيْنَهُمَا (is) between both of them Accusative · مَنْصُوب وَرَبُّ and Lord Nominative · مَرْفُوع ٱلۡمَشَٰرِقِ الْمَشَارِقِ (of) each point of sunrise Genitive · مَجْرُور Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises.
Ayah 6 إِنَّا اِنَّا Indeed, We Accusative Harf · حَرْف نَصْب زَيَّنَّا [We] adorned Perfect · Form II ٱلسَّمَآءَ السَّمَا࢜ءَ the sky Accusative · مَنْصُوب ٱلدُّنۡيَا الدُّنْيَا [the world] Accusative · مَنْصُوب بِزِينَةٍ بِزِيْنَةِ with an adornment Genitive · مَجْرُور ٱلۡكَوَاكِبِ اࣙلْكَوَاكِبِ (of) the stars Genitive · مَجْرُور Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars
Ayah 7 وَحِفۡظٗا وَحِفْظًا And (to) guard Accusative · مَنْصُوب مِّن مِّنْ against Preposition · حَرْف جَرّ كُلِّ every Genitive · مَجْرُور شَيۡطَٰنٖ شَيْطٰنٍ devil Genitive · مَجْرُور مَّارِدٖ مَّارِدٍ rebellious Genitive · مَجْرُور And as protection against every rebellious devil
Ayah 8 لَّا لَا Not Negative Harf · حَرْف نَفْي يَسَّمَّعُونَ يَسَّمَّعُوْنَ they may listen Imperfect · Form V إِلَى اِلَي to Preposition · حَرْف جَرّ ٱلۡمَلَإِ الْمَلَاِ the assembly Genitive · مَجْرُور ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ الْاَعْلٰي [the] exalted Nominative · مَرْفُوع وَيُقۡذَفُونَ وَيُقْذَفُوْنَ are pelted Imperfect · Form I مِن مِنْ from Preposition · حَرْف جَرّ كُلِّ every Genitive · مَجْرُور جَانِبٖ جَانِبٍ side Genitive · مَجْرُور [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side,
Ayah 9 دُحُورٗاۖ دُحُوْرًا Repelled Accusative · مَنْصُوب وَلَهُمۡ وَّلَهُمْ and for them Pronoun · ضَمِير عَذَابٞ عَذَابٌ (is) a punishment Nominative · مَرْفُوع وَاصِبٌ وَّاصِبٌ perpetual Nominative · مَرْفُوع Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment,
Ayah 10 إِلَّا اِلَّا Except Restriction Harf · أَدَاة حَصْر مَنۡ مَنْ (him) who Relative pronoun · اِسْم مَوْصُول خَطِفَ snatches Perfect · Form I ٱلۡخَطۡفَةَ الْخَطْفَةَ (by) theft Accusative · مَنْصُوب فَأَتۡبَعَهُۥ فَاَتْبَعَهٗ but follows him Perfect · Form IV شِهَابٞ شِهَابٌ a burning flame Nominative · مَرْفُوع ثَاقِبٞ ثَاقِبٌ piercing Nominative · مَرْفُوع Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness].
Ayah 11 فَٱسۡتَفۡتِهِمۡ فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ Then ask them Imperative · Form X أَهُمۡ اَهُمْ Are they Pronoun · ضَمِير أَشَدُّ اَشَدُّ a stronger Nominative · مَرْفُوع خَلۡقًا خَلْقًا creation Accusative · مَنْصُوب أَم اَمْ or Conjunction · حَرْف عَطْف مَّنۡ مَّنْ (those) whom Relative pronoun · اِسْم مَوْصُول خَلَقۡنَآۚ خَلَقْنَاؕ We have created Perfect · Form I إِنَّا اِنَّا Indeed, We Accusative Harf · حَرْف نَصْب خَلَقۡنَٰهُم خَلَقْنٰهُمْ created them Perfect · Form I مِّن مِّنْ from Preposition · حَرْف جَرّ طِينٖ طِيْنٍ a clay Genitive · مَجْرُور لَّازِبِۭ لَّازِبٍ sticky Genitive · مَجْرُور Then inquire of them, [O Muḥammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created them [i.e., men] from sticky clay.
