ٱلۡقَارِعَةُالْقَارِعَةُ(is) the Striking Calamity

What is the Striking Calamity?
وَمَآوَمَا͏ٓAnd what
أَدۡرَىٰكَاَدْرٰىكَwill make you know
مَاwhat
ٱلۡقَارِعَةُالْقَارِعَةُ(is) the Striking Calamity

And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?
يَوۡمَيَوْمَ(The) Day
يَكُونُيَكُوْنُwill be
ٱلنَّاسُالنَّاسُthe mankind
كَٱلۡفَرَاشِكَالْفَرَاشِlike moths
ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِالْمَبْثُوْثِscattered

It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,
وَتَكُونُوَتَكُوْنُAnd will be
ٱلۡجِبَالُالْجِبَالُthe mountains
كَٱلۡعِهۡنِكَالْعِهْنِlike wool
ٱلۡمَنفُوشِالْمَنْفُوْشِfluffed up

And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.
1 The Striking Calamity - 2 What is the Striking Calamity? 3 And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity? 4 It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed, 5 And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.
Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],
فَهُوَThen he
فِيفِيْ(will be) in
عِيشَةٖعِيْشَةٍa life
رَّاضِيَةٖرَّاضِيَةٍpleasant

He will be in a pleasant life.
وَأَمَّاوَاَمَّاBut as for
مَنۡمَنْ(him) whose
خَفَّتۡخَفَّتْ(are) light
مَوَٰزِينُهُۥمَوَازِيْنُهٗhis scales
8
But as for one whose scales are light,
فَأُمُّهُۥفَاُمُّهٗHis abode
هَاوِيَةٞهَاوِيَةٌ(will be the) Pit
9
His refuge will be an abyss.
وَمَآوَمَا͏ٓAnd what
أَدۡرَىٰكَاَدْرٰىكَwill make you know
مَاwhat
هِيَهۡهِيَهْit is
10
And what can make you know what that is?
نَارٌA Fire
حَامِيَةُۢحَامِيَةٌintensely hot
11
It is a Fire, intensely hot.
6 Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds], 7 He will be in a pleasant life. 8 But as for one whose scales are light, 9 His refuge will be an abyss. 10 And what can make you know what that is? 11 It is a Fire, intensely hot.
