Condemnation of the Slanderous Hoarder 1–3

Ayah 1

1. وَيۡلٞوَيْلٌWoeNominative · مَرْفُوع
2. لِّكُلِّto everyGenitive · مَجْرُور
3. هُمَزَةٖهُمَزَةٍslandererGenitive · مَجْرُور
4. لُّمَزَةٍلُّمَزَةِbackbiterGenitive · مَجْرُور

Woe to every scorner and mocker

Ayah 2

1. ٱلَّذِياࣙلَّذِيْThe one whoRelative pronoun · اِسْم مَوْصُول
2. جَمَعَcollectsPerfect · Form I
3. مَالٗامَالًاwealthAccusative · مَنْصُوب
4. وَعَدَّدَهُۥوَّعَدَّدَهٗand counts itPerfect · Form II

Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.

Ayah 3

1. يَحۡسَبُيَحْسَبُThinkingImperfect · Form I
2. أَنَّاَنَّthatAccusative Harf · حَرْف نَصْب
3. مَالَهُۥٓمَالَهٗٓhis wealthAccusative · مَنْصُوب
4. أَخۡلَدَهُۥاَخْلَدَهٗwill make him immortalPerfect · Form IV

He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.

Punishment of the Hoarder 4–9

Ayah 4

1. كـَلَّاۖكَلَّاNayAversion Harf · حَرْف رَدْع
2. لَيُنۢبَذَنَّلَيُنۢ͏ْبَذَنَّSurely he will be thrownImperfect · Form I
3. فِيinPreposition · حَرْف جَرّ
4. ٱلۡحُطَمَةِالْحُطَمَةِthe CrusherGenitive · مَجْرُور

No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher.

Ayah 5

1. وَمَآوَمَا͏ٓAnd whatInterrogative noun · اِسْم اِسْتِفْهَام
2. أَدۡرَىٰكَاَدْرٰىكَwill make you knowPerfect · Form IV
3. مَاwhatInterrogative noun · اِسْم اِسْتِفْهَام
4. ٱلۡحُطَمَةُالْحُطَمَةُthe Crusher (is)Nominative · مَرْفُوع

And what can make you know what is the Crusher?

Ayah 6

1. نَارُA FireNominative · مَرْفُوع
2. ٱللَّهِاللّٰهِAllahGenitive · مَجْرُور
3. ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُالْمُوْقَدَةُkindledNominative · مَرْفُوع

It is the fire of Allāh, [eternally] fueled,

Ayah 7

1. ٱلَّتِيالَّتِيْWhichRelative pronoun · اِسْم مَوْصُول
2. تَطَّلِعُmounts upImperfect · Form VIII
3. عَلَىعَلَيtoPreposition · حَرْف جَرّ
4. ٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِالْاَفْـِٕدَةِthe heartsGenitive · مَجْرُور

Which mounts directed at the hearts.

Ayah 8

1. إِنَّهَااِنَّهَاIndeed, itAccusative Harf · حَرْف نَصْب
2. عَلَيۡهِمعَلَيْهِمْ(will be) upon themPreposition · حَرْف جَرّ
3. مُّؤۡصَدَةٞمُّو͏ٔ͏ْصَدَةٌclosed overNominative · مَرْفُوع

Indeed, it [i.e., Hellfire] will be closed down upon them

Ayah 9
