Qualities of the Believers 1–5

Ayah 1

1. الٓمٓال࢜مّ࢜Alif Laam MeemQuranic initials · حُرُوف مُقَطَّعَة

Alif, Lām, Meem.

Ayah 2

1. ذَٰلِكَذٰلِكَThatDemonstrative · اِسْم إِشَارَة
2. ٱلۡكِتَٰبُالْكِتٰبُ(is) the bookNominative · مَرْفُوع
3. لَاnoNegative Harf · حَرْف نَفْي
4. رَيۡبَۛرَيْبَۚۖۛdoubtAccusative · مَنْصُوب
5. فِيهِۛفِيْهِۚۛin itPreposition · حَرْف جَرّ
6. هُدٗىهُدًيa GuidanceNominative · مَرْفُوع
7. لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَلِّلْمُتَّقِيْنَfor the God-consciousGenitive · مَجْرُور

This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allāh -

Ayah 3

1. ٱلَّذِينَالَّذِيْنَThose whoRelative pronoun · اِسْم مَوْصُول
2. يُؤۡمِنُونَيُو͏ٔ͏ْمِنُوْنَbelieveImperfect · Form IV
3. بِٱلۡغَيۡبِبِالْغَيْبِin the unseenGenitive · مَجْرُور
4. وَيُقِيمُونَوَيُقِيْمُوْنَand establishImperfect · Form IV
5. ٱلصَّلَوٰةَالصَّلٰوةَthe prayerAccusative · مَنْصُوب
6. وَمِمَّاand out of whatPreposition · حَرْف جَرّ
7. رَزَقۡنَٰهُمۡرَزَقْنٰهُمْWe have provided themPerfect · Form I
8. يُنفِقُونَيُنْفِقُوْنَthey spendImperfect · Form IV

Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them,

Ayah 4

1. وَٱلَّذِينَوَالَّذِيْنَAnd those whoRelative pronoun · اِسْم مَوْصُول
2. يُؤۡمِنُونَيُو͏ٔ͏ْمِنُوْنَbelieveImperfect · Form IV
3. بِمَآبِمَا͏ٓin whatRelative pronoun · اِسْم مَوْصُول
4. أُنزِلَاُنْزِلَ(is) sent downPerfect · Form IV
5. إِلَيۡكَاِلَيْكَto youPreposition · حَرْف جَرّ
6. وَمَآوَمَا͏ٓand whatRelative pronoun · اِسْم مَوْصُول
7. أُنزِلَاُنْزِلَwas sent downPerfect · Form IV
8. مِنمِنْfromPreposition · حَرْف جَرّ
9. قَبۡلِكَقَبْلِكَۚbefore youGenitive · مَجْرُور
10. وَبِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِوَبِالْاٰخِرَةِand in the HereafterGenitive · مَجْرُور
11. هُمۡهُمْtheyPronoun · ضَمِير
12. يُوقِنُونَيُوْقِنُوْنَfirmly believeImperfect · Form IV

And who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith].

Ayah 5

1. أُوْلَٰٓئِكَاُولٰ࢜ىِٕكَThoseDemonstrative · اِسْم إِشَارَة
2. عَلَىٰعَلٰي(are) onPreposition · حَرْف جَرّ
3. هُدٗىهُدًيGuidanceGenitive · مَجْرُور
4. مِّنمِّنْfromPreposition · حَرْف جَرّ
5. رَّبِّهِمۡۖرَّبِّهِمْࣗtheir LordGenitive · مَجْرُور
6. وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَوَاُولٰ࢜ىِٕكَand those Demonstrative · اِسْم إِشَارَة
7. هُمُtheyPronoun · ضَمِير
8. ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَالْمُفْلِحُوْنَ(are) the successful onesNominative · مَرْفُوع

Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful.

Qualities of the disbelievers 6–7

Ayah 6

1. إِنَّاِنَّIndeedAccusative Harf · حَرْف نَصْب
2. ٱلَّذِينَالَّذِيْنَthose whoRelative pronoun · اِسْم مَوْصُول
3. كَفَرُواْكَفَرُوْاdisbelieve[d]Perfect · Form I
4. سَوَآءٌسَوَا࢜ءٌ(it) is sameNominative · مَرْفُوع
5. عَلَيۡهِمۡعَلَيْهِمْto themPreposition · حَرْف جَرّ
6. ءَأَنذَرۡتَهُمۡءَاَنْذَرْتَهُمْwhether you warn themPerfect · Form IV
7. أَمۡاَمْorConjunction · حَرْف عَطْف
8. لَمۡلَمْnotNegative Harf · حَرْف نَفْي
9. تُنذِرۡهُمۡتُنْذِرْهُمْyou warn themImperfect · Form IV
10. لَاnotNegative Harf · حَرْف نَفْي
11. يُؤۡمِنُونَيُو͏ٔ͏ْمِنُوْنَthey believeImperfect · Form IV

Indeed, those who disbelieve - it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe.

Ayah 7

1. خَتَمَHas set a sealPerfect · Form I
2. ٱللَّهُاللّٰهُAllahNominative · مَرْفُوع
3. عَلَىٰعَلٰيonPreposition · حَرْف جَرّ
4. قُلُوبِهِمۡقُلُوْبِهِمْtheir heartsGenitive · مَجْرُور
5. وَعَلَىٰوَعَلٰيand onPreposition · حَرْف جَرّ
6. سَمۡعِهِمۡۖسَمْعِهِمْؕtheir hearingGenitive · مَجْرُور
7. وَعَلَىٰٓوَعَلٰٓيand onPreposition · حَرْف جَرّ
8. أَبۡصَٰرِهِمۡاَبْصَارِهِمْtheir visionGenitive · مَجْرُور
9. غِشَٰوَةٞۖغِشَاوَةٌؗ(is) a veilNominative · مَرْفُوع
10. وَلَهُمۡوَّلَهُمْAnd for themPronoun · ضَمِير
11. عَذَابٌ(is) a punishmentNominative · مَرْفُوع
12. عَظِيمٞعَظِيْمٌgreatNominative · مَرْفُوع

Allāh has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment.
