At-Tin · Meccan · 8 ayahs

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Ruku 1 of 1 · 8 Ayahs

Oaths by Sacred Places 1–3

وَٱلتِّينِوَالتِّيْنِBy the fig
وَٱلزَّيۡتُونِوَالزَّيْتُوْنِand the olive

By the fig and the olive

وَطُورِوَطُوْرِAnd (the) Mount
سِينِينَسِيْنِيْنَSinai

And [by] Mount Sinai

وَهَٰذَاوَهٰذَاAnd this
ٱلۡبَلَدِالْبَلَدِ[the] city
ٱلۡأَمِينِالْاَمِيْنِ[the] secure

And [by] this secure city [i.e., Makkah],

1 By the fig and the olive 2 And [by] Mount Sinai 3 And [by] this secure city [i.e., Makkah],

Man's Rise and Fall 4–6

لَقَدۡلَقَدْIndeed
خَلَقۡنَاخَلَقْنَاWe created
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَالْاِنْسَانَman
فِيٓفِيْٓin
أَحۡسَنِاَحْسَنِ(the) best
تَقۡوِيمٖتَقْوِيْمٍmould

We have certainly created man in the best of stature;

ثُمَّThen
رَدَدۡنَٰهُرَدَدْنٰهُWe returned him
أَسۡفَلَاَسْفَلَ(to the) lowest
سَٰفِلِينَسٰفِلِيْنَ(of the) low

Then We return him to the lowest of the low,

إِلَّااِلَّاExcept
ٱلَّذِينَالَّذِيْنَthose who
ءَامَنُواْاٰمَنُوْاbelieve
وَعَمِلُواْوَعَمِلُواand do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِالصّٰلِحٰتِrighteous deeds
فَلَهُمۡفَلَهُمْthen for them
أَجۡرٌاَجْرٌ(is a) reward
غَيۡرُغَيْرُnever
مَمۡنُونٖمَمْنُوْنٍending

Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted.

4 We have certainly created man in the best of stature; 5 Then We return him to the lowest of the low, 6 Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted.

Allah's Perfect Justice 7–8

فَمَاThen what
يُكَذِّبُكَcauses you to deny
بَعۡدُبَعْدُafter (this)
بِٱلدِّينِبِالدِّيْنِthe judgment

So what yet causes you to deny the Recompense?

أَلَيۡسَاَلَيْسَIs not
ٱللَّهُاللّٰهُAllah
بِأَحۡكَمِبِاَحْكَمِ(the) Most Just
ٱلۡحَٰكِمِينَالْحٰكِمِيْنَ(of) the Judges

Is not Allāh the most just of judges?

7 So what yet causes you to deny the Recompense? 8 Is not Allāh the most just of judges?
